EASYBACK
The universal stool attachment. 💯

THE PROBLEM
A majority of art students across the globe endure back pain in their studios,
and the reason is always those hard stools.
(you know the ones)
Chairs are hard to come by in the studio, therefore students have no choice but
to endure. That is why I would like to create a simple, portable add-on that allows
for a backrest for any stool so that art students can-
WORK COMFORTABLY AND PAIN FREE ‼️
KEY
OBJECTIVES
1.
2.
3.
4.
IMPROVE LUMBAR SUPPORT
Backless stools lack lumbar support, leading to poor
posture and spine strain, especially during prolonged
sitting.
REDUCE MUSCULAR FATIGUE
Without back support, core muscles strain, leading to
fatigue and discomfort, stunting working efficiency.
RELIEVE SPINAL PRESSURE
Backless stools lack adjustability, leading to discomfort
if they don't match the student's height or preferences.
ALLEVIATE HEALTH CONCERNS
Backless stools lack lumbar support, leading to poor
posture and spine strain, especially during prolonged
sitting.

MEET THE
ID28'S
UCID 28 is full of a variety of talented students that
can conquer any challenge that comes their way.
One thing, though, that DAAP and design students
across the world can't escape, no matter how hard
they try, is the backless stools. 😰
